What are the knowledge introductions of The Plastic Molding Machine?

The Plastic Molding Machine is a machine that manufactures plastic products using the injection molding process. It is designed to operate with a wide variety of plastic parts, including both thermoplastic and thermoset polymers. It is capable of producing a wide range of plastic parts at a fast production rate, making it ideal for production-driven manufacturers.

Parts produced by the Plastic Molding Machine can be molded to a desired shape, size and thickness. The shape of the final product is determined by the dimensions of the mold cavities and the thickness of the molten plastic that fills the mold channels.

Injection and Holding Pressure:
The molten plastic is injected into the mold cavity by a screw or plunger. The injection pressure applied is dependent on the flow characteristics of the molten plastic, such as viscosity and shear rate.
Once the molten plastic is in the mold cavity, it dwells inside it for a time to solidify. The molten plastic is held in place by the holding pressure (also called tonnage), which is about half of the injection pressure.

Cooling and Clamping:
After a certain length of time, the molten plastic is cooled and then the mold halves are separated. The molded part is then ejected from the mold tool and dropped through a chute onto a conveyor belt at the base of the machine.
The molded part can be further finished by polishing, dying or removing excess plastic from the molded parts (known as spurs). Trimming is the last step in the plastic injection process.
